The gift of angels

One of my favorite gifts is communicating with angels.  I can’t say that I’ve always been aware of their presence, although I know they’ve always been with me.  The word angels comes from a Greek word angelos, which means messengers. They are Divine messengers sent directly from God. They’re here to help us in whatever capacity they can.  We are more likely to turn to them when things aren’t going too well in our lives, when we’re in crisis or chaos. Everyone can connect with these etheric beings of light.  Once you do you’ll notice amazing evidence of them in your life.
I work very closely with them in the clearing and balancing work that I offer my clients.  They help me open up my abilities to see, hear, feel, and know them and their messages.  One easy way to begin to be aware of their presence and influence is to ask them to help with mundane things like parking places and green lights.  Try it, just speak quietly to them in your mind or out loud, and you’ll be amazed what comes your way, as they always answer. I often travel through a complete city with only green lights guiding my way, and there’s usually a very convenient parking place near where I need to go.  That’s only the beginning!  I even find angel feathers in my house when they want me to know they’re close.
Talking with your angels is natural and joyful, and they love it every bit as much as you will.  Because they are not in physical bodies, their vibration is finer than yours.  To communicate with them it’s beneficial to move out of your ordinary state of mind—the one that’s concerned about health, finances, living space, and so forth—and move into Higher Awareness.
How you feel about yourself is a most significant factor in making angelic connection.  To fly with the angels, you need to travel lightly.  I suggest that you clear yourself of mental and emotional baggage.  Releasing the “old” (whatever stale emotions or resistance that’s holding you back) will help you to unload so you can begin to converse with your winged companions quite naturally.  Releasing also helps to bring clarity to your everyday life; you may find that things start working better and that you’re happier, less stressed, and more at peace with yourself.
Here’s an easy exercise that I learned from Dr. Doreen Virtue when I studied her Angel Therapy Practitioner classes.  It’s called the empty bucket.  Put yourself in a comfortable position and take some deep breaths. Ask yourself: What could get in the way of my making contact with the angels?  Why shouldn’t I make contact?  What’s preventing me from making contact?  (fear, anger, judgment, criticism, unforgiveness, betrayal, guilt, unworthiness……)
Now, visualize an empty bucket floating down and being held above you.  You may see a label on it. Now see yourself filling up that bucket with whatever you feel and think about communicating with your angels. Put it all in there. Fill it up. Let it get heavy.  When you’re complete, the bucket is lifted up and up into the light.  After it’s touched by the light, it’s turned upside down and everything in there is now transmuted into love, light, peace, harmony, courage, understanding, forgiveness....whatever you’d like to be filled with. You may be aware of it as sparkles of light. Just receive it, receive it, receive it.
Congratulations, you’ve just taken your first step in opening and learning to commune with those fabulous friends with wings.  Check back here soon for other ways to deepen your connection.

What gifts do you notice?

Today’s gifts...each day flows easier into the next as we become aware of all of our blessings and the beauty and goodness around us.  I make an effort to be aware of at least one “gift” each day.  It only takes a minute to jot one down.  Try it for the next week and see how you do!  I know that you also could come up with many more than one each day, but try just one!!

July 16, On an early morning walk, the sun creeps over the crest of a mountain to greet us with its brilliance.

July 17 A bobcat comes for a visit on our back deck, and encourages patience and introspection.

July 18 At lunch with 8 lovely women I remember the importance of connection with those special friends in my life.  And the opportunity of gathering with those of like mind and energy that so supports me.

July 19  Running into someone I haven't seen in years, and taking time to re-connect with a commitment to see each other soon.

July 20 Receiving an email with a message offering hope for the future, especially if each of us continues our focus on light, love, compassion, forgiveness and support of each other.

July 21 Encountering a friendly dog with a smile that reminds me of Rubia and all other 4 legged angels that bring such joy, happiness and love into our lives.

July 22 A surprise phone call from a dear friend at a distance checking in and catching up, and celebrating that we're in each other's lives.

July 23 A 5 point buck regally walks by our house with head held high on his daily pursuit of life.

July 24 I always open my eyes very early in the morning and take time to breathe and offer myself healing energy to begin my day in the best way that I can.

July 25 I make pizza from scratch using a great gluten free crust!! yummy...there's a way to nurture, nourish and care for ourselves in a loving, healthy way.
