The Gift of Endings
The last couple of days I’ve had thoughts of the end of 2011, and all that’s come to BE. Some of the images filled me with sadness, others with relief, others with joy. And I visualized a colorful sunset with its ending to the day bringing darkness, but with the knowing that a brilliant sunrise will follow bringing even more light to the world.
The largest and most difficult ending for me was in May when Rubia (our beloved yellow lab of 13 years) chose to leave the physical realm and move completely into Spirit. She taught me so much about unconditional love and acceptance, as well as, play, happiness and joy in life. We still grieve her loss, but also appreciate her energetic presence that’s still with us. She leaves little reminders (like balls, a pearl-just a small ball....) occasionally to let us know she’s really here. Just the other day I felt her very close, and then heard from a friend that her pet had passed during the night, and I knew that Rubia was serving as a bridge to help other pets find their happy place, but still remain close to those they love.
September brought the releasing by leasing our home in Estes Park. Another momentous step into our future and the unfolding of my Divine plan. The more we let go of the “old” the more room we have for the “new”, as yet unknown. But I find it easier to trust, surrender and allow this process of learning to unfold.
Seasonal changes, synchronicities in numbers and dates offered us many opportunities for much growth, shift and change in the past year. I was blessed to spend 11/11/11 in Sedona on a beautiful red rock along with my soul mate to experience a momentous portal opening and shift in energies that has brought me more clarity and increased ability to channel and hold energy for the “work” that I do.
This morning around 2:00 I awoke with some interesting and not necessarily pleasant memories of past experiences, mostly from many years ago. Times when ego (Edging God out, as Eileen Dey says) brought out my shadow side. Events of manipulating or being manipulated...incidents that I’m not proud of. But I blessed these remembrances and expressed gratitude for them helping me to be who I am today. I sent them off knowing that they came to me as they were on their way out of my awareness, and by not holding on to them, I would LIGHTen up. I let them go gratefully....and to replace them, I began in my heart to feel love, love, love....what does love feel like to you? hold the space in your heart, maybe even place your hands on the center of your chest, and repeat love, love, love to yourself...then allow yourself to experience sensations and then to expand and to penetrate your entire essence. My vibration raised as I let go of this “old” and made room for “new” love and light, and I went back to sleep for a few hours. I know that I also am a bridge here to help others let go, raise their awareness, and be fulfilled in their own unique way.
When I awoke later I arose for my morning walk and my time to connect with the incredibly beautiful world around me. I sensed my own body, chakras and energy, as well as nature around me. I came back home to sit on my terrace and soak up more beauty, to bask in the tranquility of where I AM, and who I choose to BE.
On this final day of the year, I review, remember the tests, trials, tribulations, as well as the joy, happiness, peace and abundance that I chose to receive. I might shed a tear, sigh in relief, smile at a memory, and then express gratitude. I love to consult the various oracle cards that I have, and I have a lot of them for insight and help with setting some intentions for the following year.
I feel that 2012 is an amazing year with time and experience accelerating and bringing a few surprises. If we set some intentions, we can move forward without expectation, but with the awareness, trust and knowing that this year’s growth will be within. The world around us may seem in complete chaos and disorder, but we can center ourselves and focus on what’s for our highest good and the highest good of all, especially if we get out of our own way and allow the healing and growth to occur. Healing after all means becoming whole. We are unlimited potential, and as we pay attention to the coincidences and synchronicities in our lives we know ourselves on a deeper level; we connect to the Divine Spirit that we are.
What do I want in 2012? I want to focus on:
a healthy body, mind and spirit.
Bringing more balance into my life so that I may discern my priorities and realize my limits.
Playing and having fun
Expressing myself creatively...(through more writing)
Teaching and healing....(Many incredible learning experiences in 2012, beginning with Reiki training in January and February in San Carlos and March in Dominican Republic). but sooooo much more.
Receiving as well as giving....
Opening more to my unlimited potential and all levels of abundance in my life.
Spending time with friends and family....
that’s a lot....now, I’m off to consult the cards!!
